   Have you ever wished that your child came with a manual? Here's your manual...a day filled with ideas and strategies to overcome some of the most difficult interactions and behaviors with your children. You will learn about brain development, the importance of healthy touch, and you will come away with REAL tools that you can use everyday. Cost: $60/person-that's $10/hour! "Creating a Healthy, Safe, and Attached Child" Class - March 01, 2010 6:30pm-8pm

   Have you ever wondered what else you need to know about this parenting adventure?

Have you been overwhelmed by all the questions such as: How will I know what my child needs? What does that crying mean? How will I know what to do when my child needs me? They say babies need to eat every 2-3 hours for awhile, how will I get any rest?

Did you know that your own parenting blueprints will directly effect how you raise your child?

“Creating a Healthy, Safe and Attached Child” Class

(This class is for Expecting Parents and/or Parents of 0-6 month children)
You will:
• Learn what healthy attachment and bonding means
• Understand how to attach and bond to your child
• Identify what type of parent you want to be
• Create a vision for what your relationship with your child looks like
• Discuss strategies for the emotional transition to parenthood
• Develop a deeper communication with your parenting partner
• Meet other parents who are new at this too and experiencing the same questions that you are
• Recognize what your baby needs in his/her emotional environment to develop empathy as he/she grows
• Gain information about baby brain development and how the first 3 years of your baby’s life are the most important
• Come away with a set of tools that you can use every day as you parent your precious child
• Discover how to communicate with your child even as your child is in utero
• Define oxytocin, why it’s important for your baby and just as important for you
• Grasp the importance of healthy touch in infants
